Chamomile & Lavender Bath Tea Recipe

Chamomile & Lavender Bath Tea Recipe | @SaffireBlueHerbal bath teas are a lovely way to relax and relieve stress as well as soothe aching muscles.  This Chamomile and Lavender blend contains healing salts, rich in magnesium and potassium, to draw out toxins and promote tissue healing.  Lavender is well known to calm agitated nerves and promote relaxation.  The addition of Chamomile flowers makes this bath tea a great option for easing aches and pains, relieving skin irritation and softening skin.

Ingredients:

1 cup Dead Sea Salt – Fine

1 cup Epsom Salts – Fine

1/2 cup Lavender Flowers Super Whole

1/2 cup Chamomile Flowers Whole

10 drops Lavender Essential Oil 40/42

1 tablespoon Sweet Almond Oil – 100{2f217b6ef4e944ec449aa2c625e1f0e1f43c0ee840d0a16b8bf46c3ef1173473} Pure

Muslin Bags 4″ x 6″ – Large

Packaging Suggestion:

Clear PET Single Walled Jar – 16 oz with Silver Aluminum Lid 89-400

Directions:

In a large bowl, combine salts and herbs.  Stir until well blended.

In a small measuring cup, combine almond oil and lavender essential oil.  Stir until well blended.

Drizzle the oil mixture over the salt and herb mixture.  Stir to evenly distribute the oil throughout the herbs.

Store in an airtight container.

To use:  Add 1/4 cup of bath tea mixture to your muslin bag and soak in warm bath water to steep.  Soak for as long as desired!

Bath teas are very versatile! 

  • Wet your bag of herbs and use it to cleanse your skin, with or without soap.
  • Add a small amount of herbal mixture to hot water to make a soothing foot soak.
  • Apply the soaked bag of herbs as a warm or cool compress on your temples, neck or other tense areas.
  • After your bath, toss your muslin bag in the dryer to add a fresh scent to bed sheets or linens.
