Christmas Scented Pine Cones – DIY Recipe

pinecones-pinRustic, scented pine cones are a lovely way to decorate for the holiday season!  But why pay for a few scented pine cones when you can make them yourself?

What you need:

How to do it:

  1. Collect your pine cones.  Rinse off any dirt or debris that might be lingering on them.
  2. Allow to air dry completely.
  3. Once dry, place your pine cones in a large plastic bag.
  4. Fill your spray bottle with 30 ml fragrance oil and 1 ounce water.
  5. Spritz your pine cones in the bag until they are quite wet.
  6. Close your bag and shake vigorously to help distribute the fragrance.
  7. If you’d like your pine cones to sparkle, add some microfine glitter to your bag and shake to distribute.
  8. Seal your bag and set aside for a few days to allow the pine cones to absorb the fragrance.
  9. Display in your home and enjoy the aroma!
