NOTE: If you are making these products for sale, good manufacturing practices recommend you wear a hairnet, gloves and a mask. We also recommend a clean apron.

  1. Cut up 1 lb. of white soap into chunks and place in a large, deep glass bowl.
  2. Place in microwave and heat soap until melted, about 1-2 minutes until soap has completely melted. To help with the next step, the soap can be heated to around 160°F.
  3. To melt the soap, add 3 oz. of shea butter. Stir until butter has completely dissolved into the melted soap. If needed, place in microwave and heat a little more until melted.
  4. Add the 1 lb. jar of Foaming Bath Whip to melted soap/butter mixture and gently stir in. Bath whip will not completely melt but will soften and break up into smaller pieces.
  5. At slow speed, start mixing with a hand mixer. It is best to use a deep bowl as the soap will splatter very easily.
  6. Once the soap starts to thicken, turn off the mixer.
  7. Add 2 oz. of glycerin and 1 oz. of fragrance.
  8. Start mixing again. If the mixture starts to thicken and collect on beaters, turn off the mixer, remove soap from beaters and add back to a bowl.
  9. On medium to high, quickly whip the mixture for another 15 seconds.
  10. Using a pastry bag or Decorator Pro with desired decorating tip added to it, fill with soap frosting and decorate the top of each soap cupcake.
  11. Let the product sit for about 24 hours to completely harden. Your soap will then be ready to package.
Should your frosting start to harden up a bit before you have finished piping, whip lightly with a hand mixer to soften it?

NOTE: To colour your frosting, add a small amount of liquid dye after adding glycerin and fragrance. A liquid dye can thin out the product if too much is used. Powder dyes can also be used.

NOTE: Unused products can be kept in an air-tight container. When ready to use, whip with a hand mixer to desired consistency. The product can also be heated slightly to soften.
