Sweet Almond Butter and Oatmeal Soap

Ingredients:

1 lb. Melt & Pour Glycerin Base with Shea and Mango Butters
1 cup Old Fashioned Rolled Oats
2 Tb Sweet Almond Oil
2 Tb Pure Honey
10 drops Vitamin E (optional)

Directions:

After a quick zap in the microwave stir in the Rolled Oats. Not to vigorous as you want to keep the bubbles to a minimum. Next add the Almond Oil and Honey. Both act as amazing and natural moisturizers.

This soap is non-scented but I do LOVE the smell of Sweet Almond Oil. By adding a few drops of an essential oil or a fragrance made for soap (just follow the directions) you can customize your perfect scent! I also like to add in several drops of Vitamin E because it works as a preservative. A couple capsules full will work too although I really don’t think you can OD your soap on Vitamin E.

Pour your liquid soap into a mold, or soap box, or a wax paper lined cardboard box like I did to cure. See all those bubbles? A quick spritz of rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle will clear all those away. Or you can take a spoon and gently pull them over to the side. Or just leave them as this is the bottom of your soap!

Leave it out to cool for an hour-ish or when it’s completely cool to the touch. Then cut into whatever sizes you wish and enjoy!

When you add in heavy ingredients like the oats they will settle to the bottom of your mold. That is unless you use a Melt & Pour Base that is a ‘suspension formula’ which evenly disperses your oats.
