Our Re-batch soap base allows you to make “cold process” style soap without the need to buy or use Sodium Hydroxide (Lye). Most re-batch bases turn into a putty-like material when melted and are difficult to mold. This product liquefies when melted and is easy to pour into molds.
This sweet orange fragrance provides a wonderfully uplifting aroma and the calendula petals not only provide vibrant colour but also soothe chapped and irritated skin.
Sweet Orange & Calendula Re-Batch Soap
Ingredients:
3 cups Grated Re-batch Soap Base
1 Tablespoon Sweet Almond Oil – 100 Pure
1 teaspoon Sweet Orange Essential Oil
½ cup Calendula Flower Petals
½ cup Water
Mold of your choice
(Try Mold Market Soap Mold – Basic Rectangle – 001)
Instructions:
In a double boiler, heat your grated soap base over medium heat until melted. It may take anywhere from 25 minutes to an hour for your base to melt completely.
Gradually stir in your water. If you find your soap base is not smooth, add additional water, 1 tablespoon at a time. Keep in mind that the more liquid you add, the longer it will take for your base to set and the softer your finished bar will be.
Continue stirring until your soap becomes thick, smooth and creamy.
Add your oils, stir.
Add your flower petals and fragrance, stir.
Scoop into your soap mold and allow it to harden before unmolding.

Do most people make their soap from scratch, buy the kits or use the re-batch mix? I have signed up for your next CP Soap making class but am interested in what is the easiest way for me to make my own soap at home? I am brand new to soapmaking! Thanks!

Hi, so glad I found this recipe for rebatching. Was looking for a guideline to rebatch my 100{2f217b6ef4e944ec449aa2c625e1f0e1f43c0ee840d0a16b8bf46c3ef1173473} coconut oil soap and this really helped me. Made a few adjustments acc to my taste but finally got the rebatch done perfectly. Thank you so much for sharing your recipe.
