*This recipe yields 2 pounds of scrumptious soap*
Ingredients:
4.6 oz (130.40 grams) Sodium Hydroxide
12.2 oz (345.86 grams) Distilled Water
11.2 oz (317.51 grams) Coconut 76 Oil
1.6 oz (45.36 grams) Castor Oil
12.8 oz (362.87 grams) Olive Oil
6.4 oz (181.44 grams) Palm Oil
1/2 tsp Red Oxide (Optional)
1/2 tsp Titanium Dioxide (Optional)
Directions:
Dissolve your measured Sodium Hydroxide into your measured distilled water.
Measure your oils and melt.
Take the temperature of your lye water solution as well as your melted oils. If they are between 5 degrees of one another … combine, mix … and get soaping!
We recommend using our Leaf mold as well as our Maple Cream Fragrance Oil … they are definitely symbolic of Canada!
Happy Soaping! And, Happy Canada Day!
[ReviewDisclaimer]
I am new to soap making, is this for cold process soap or hot processing? Or can it be either?
The instructions above are for CP soap but you can HP any recipe.
A truly Canadian soap recipe would list its ingredients in grams!
Hi Esther, I’ve added that info for you. Thanks!
