Calendula Flower Petals, Calendula officinalis

Calendula creams and washes are still used to disinfect minor wounds and to treat infections of the skin. The antibacterial and immunostimulant properties of the plant make it extremely useful in treating slow-healing cuts and cuts in people who have compromised immune systems. The herb stimulates the production of collagen at wound sites and minimizes scarring. For external use, a very good salve for wounds can be made from the dried flowers or leaves, from the juice pressed out of the flowers, or from the tincture. The salve or dilute tincture is also good for bruises, sprains, pulled muscles, sores, and boils.

Great value for money! Very fragrant when I opened the bag. A must for herbal crafting! Took off one star because the colour wasn’t as vibrant as others I’ve had from other suppliers.

  2. Lucille

Very dissapointed. Many, many buds and less petals. Not as the picutre.

Merci SaffireBlue

  4. Rhonda

Good product. Would like it a bit better with fewer stems.

  5. Dale

Happy with the bright colour of flowers and I am making my own calendula oil.

  6. Megan

So many uses, so little time. I am currently infusing some of the petals in oil to make a wonderful face lotion.

  7. Jan

Great price point, have used them in a tea as a base for the lye mixture, infused them with olive oil and decorated cold process soap with them, very versatile botanical to have on hand.

  8. Jan

A staple in soap making for colour, brew a tea to replace water in lye mixture, infuse in olive oil for balms.

  9. Krystal

I’ve only used this to infuse into my balm, but I can’t wait to use it for more. The smell makes you think of spring even though it’s snowing outside (which it currently is!) It’s a light, fresh smell with amazing therapeutic properties.

  14. Darlene

the picture and name implies you are just going to get petals but you don’t you get about half a bag of buds but that’s OK I just make tea or infuse oil with them

  15. Carrie-Ann

Wonderful in soaps for colour and texture. Also great when used in lotions and lip balms. One of my staple ingredients.

  16. Jennifer

I used this to make my own baby oil, really great product.

  17. Laura

I was surprised to see how big the 75g container was! This was great value. I’ve used it in my soap and I’m looking forward to using it in other projects.

  18. nora

I used the Calendula petals to make a soap for my baby girl. Although it says flower petals, I found a lot of buds in the bag. I guess they can be used to make infused oil.

  19. Anna Marie

love the colour and smell. Using it in a medicinal rub, but will likely use in future for CP soap! Pretty.
