Isopropyl Alcohol 99%, also known as rubbing alcohol is used in a wide variety of applications.
- In Melt & Pour soap making, sometimes air bubbles form. Spraying Isopropyl Alcohol 99% directly after pouring the soap into your molds creates a smooth surface by breaking up the bubbles. You may also spray in between the Melt & Pour soap layers which helps the layers stick together.
- In Cold Process soap making, it helps to prevent soda ash. Soda ash is harmless, but many soap makers consider soda ash unsightly. Spray within 10-15 of freshly poured soap.
- Isopropyl Alcohol 99% is a wonderful way to disperse mica when painting designs on bath bombs or soap.
- You can use Isoproopyl Alcohol 99% when creating mineral make-up in the same way you use it for Melt & Pour Soap. Spritz between layers, the tiny amount of water flashes off quickly leaving no moisture.
