  1. I’ve only just started using this product. I’ve used it in anhydrous formulas and haven’t had any issues with separation if I add it during the cool down stage below 40C. When I used it in a toner, the chemical smell was over powering. I was able to cover the scent with EO but I wouldn’t recommend it in water exclusive applications.

  2. 2 stars because I haven’t used this successfully yet (twice): I’ve been having issues with separation. After researching it more online, I know now it will separate if the formula is too cold. The instructions say “Can be added directly to the formulation during pre- or post-emulsification at or below 60°C.” but should also include the temperature at which your emulsion separates. 26°C is too cold and it will separate. I do not know where it will maintain the emulsion.

  3. This is my favorite preservative to use. Works great in lotions, hair conditioner, scrubs etc

  4. I use this in all my products that require a preservative. Not one problem. Great product.

  5. I use this in my “all natural” lotions, it’s expensive but for customers who look for “all natural”, they are used to paying extra.
