Description: Sandalwood is a parasitic evergreen tree that burrows its roots into other trees. They have a brown-gray trunk, many smooth slender branches, leathery leaves and small pink-purple flowers and can take anywhere from 30-60 years to reach full maturity. Only then, can the trees be harvested and distilled.

Colour: Colourless to pale yellow clear thick liquid.

Common Uses: Sandalwood is often used by aromatherapists to help treat; bronchitis, chapped/dry skin, depression, laryngitis, leucorrhea, oily skin, scars, sensitive skin, stress, and stretch marks. It also has historical applications as an aid in meditation for religious ceremonies.  It has extensive uses in the perfume and body care industry as a fixative as well as for the sensual and exotic sensory experience in provides. Sandalwood is also believed to have the aphrodisiac properties.

Description: Le bois de santal est un arbre parasite à feuilles persistantes qui creuse ses racines dans d’autres arbres.     An earthier, more masculine sandalwood (not as smooth/round and sweet as some Mysore sandalwood) –but smells like the real thing, has great depth and character. And this is the best price for it anywhere!

    I love the smell of this… but the price has jumped to more than double what it was! I use this in an essential oil blend, but because of the price increase, I have to raise my price to an amount that is turning people away!
