This was not an essential oil I had used in the past, but now I am hooked on its grassy, ethereal scent. It blends well with a wide variety of other essential oils and lends an earthy and comforting fragrance to blends.

I wasn’t quite sure what vetiver was before I got it but I saw a lot of niche fragrance designers use it. For me being new at making perfumes I found this one challenging as it is very strong and smells like burnt smoldering wood. Needless to say, I’ve used it in most of my successful light floral-gourmand fragrances so it too has it’s place and not just for mens lines. It is quite versatile.

This vetiver is so strong and earthy I wish I had purchased a bigger bottle.
